My take on films.
This assignment was the first time I ever experimented with film manipulation and it was a very enjoyable, interesting experience. When my partner and I first started, we attempted to be precise with our images, but after some frames, we realized that the manipulation didn't have to be too detailed of thought-out because they are each shown for such a small duration of time.
We incorporated the topic, the four elements, into our project through the use of paints, markers, glitters, and other supplies. Air was probably the most difficult to portray but we used airy lines and squiggles. Dark, chunky, brown paint was used to symbolize earth, blue glitter was used to create bubbles, and a lot of flames were incorporated for fire.
Learning to load the projector was really neat since I've never dine it before, it was a little confusing, but with practice, I'm sure I'll be able to get the hang of it. There were a lot of small, yet meticulous steps. I loved seeing it coming to life through projecting it because I honestly had no idea how it was going to turn out. \
